Program Full Description

The Physics program is intended for students who plan to transfer in the following areas: Astronomy, Biophysics, Engineering, Geology, Medicine, Meteorology, Physics, or related areas.

1.      Demonstrate knowledge of concepts, laws, and principles of natural science and apply them to the solution of problems.

 

2.      Demonstrate critical thinking/problem solving abilities.

3.      Demonstrate good experimental techniques including making observations and measurements, constructing a hypothesis and designing an experiment to test it, and analyzing and interpreting experimental results.

4.      Demonstrate effective communication skills including the writing of laboratory reports based on experiments.

5.      Demonstrate effective teamwork and work ethics through group laboratory projects.
