CR Associate of Science

Program Full Description

The Associate of Science (A.S.) in Cybersecurity program delivers a comprehensive education in securing digital systems, networks, and infrastructures from evolving cyber threats. Students will develop both technical skills and strategic insight to protect sensitive information, secure diverse operating systems, and safeguard network architectures in today’s dynamic cyber environment. The program covers vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, threat detection, and the implementation of robust security controls. A strong emphasis is placed on ethical hacking, risk management, security auditing, and the integration of advanced technologies for detecting, preventing, and responding to cyberattacks. Critical thinking and data-driven analysis are key components of the program, ensuring students can identify critical security factors, use data to inform decisions, and develop effective security strategies. Students will learn to evaluate, mitigate, and address risks across digital landscapes, preparing them for industry-recognized certifications such as CompTIA Security+, PenTest+, CySA+, Linux+, and Network+, and positioning them for success in this critical and rapidly expanding field.
