This course explores the paralegal profession, including its roles, responsibilities, and professional standards. Topics studied include careers as a paralegal, job searching techniques, ethics, and limitations of paralegals. The course will also explore the court systems of the federal government and Pennsylvania, as well as introduce legal research, including but not limited to mandatory and binding precedent, persuasive precedent, and legal citations. Legal writing and terminology are also course components, as well as legal analysis.
