Selections include prose works from the Gilded Age and trends in realism, regionalism, and naturalism; examples of low and high modernisms in poetry, prose, and drama; and postwar, postcolonial, and postmodern literatures spoken, sung, written, illustrated, and/or otherwise composed, performed, and/or published since 1945.
